INTRODUCTION TO CEMPS’S TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR THE YEAR-3 OF THE BASIS PROJECT

Developing Infrastructure & Foundations of BME communities in West Sussex

In the year-2 of the Basis project, CEMP engaged with 65 BME groups in the North Down and West Down area of West Sussex promoting Basis’s Infrastructure development Project, from which 23 BME organisations and 10 volunteers have been capacity built, using Infrastructure Development Training Programme.

Continued monitoring and assessment of organisations progress and during the year-2 of the project, participant of the trainings sessions have asked for additional training provision and development support. These participants and community members have also asked for help to improve access to services. Thus extensive capacity building training programme and engagement with communities and service providers have been incorporated in this work programme to meet these identified needs and gaps.

We are very fortunate that we have three highly experienced training consultants who are specialist in their field and are able to deliver year-3 training programme to enhance the abilities of marginalised communities and provide long term sustainability. This training programme is publicised on CEMP’s website and within other BME organisations and at the various community’s events.

There is great deal of specialist work required to be delivered within the BME community organisation and members and CEMP has been very effective delivering this work under the Basis project thus building communities empowerment, confidence and trust.

As part of the Additional Support Programme which aims to support BME organisations develop we are pleased to offer the following FREE training on:

This training is only for members/volunteers of BME community groups.

In order to ensure full attendance at these training sessions we will require a £15 FULLY REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. Failure to attend sessions will result in the loss of your deposit. Please enclose £15 deposit (cheque/cash) with the registration form. You will receive the deposit back once you have completed the sessions you’ve chosen. Please note that this training costs our organisation £500 per session. It is therefore important that full attendance is achieved in order to justify our expenditure.
